Dr. Jill Althoff

Dr.JillAlthoff

Dr. Jill Althoff relocated to Colorado in 2002. Born and raised in a small town in North Dakota, Dr. Althoff was attracted to Windsor’s small town feel and the friendly people. She was also drawn to the area for the warm weather, the outdoor sports, and the mountains.

Dr. Althoff knew that she wanted to be in the medical field from a very young age. She was very active in competitive gymnastics and had several injuries because of it. She also suffered from severe asthma as a child and young adult. She would have attacks while exercising, while going about daily activities, and with the cold winter air. Instead of her asthma getting better with age, it continued to progress. In college, she struggled with missing classes because of asthma attacks and multiple episodes of pneumonia and bronchitis. She was under a specialists care, but couldn’t seem to get her asthma and allergies under control. After being on Prednisone and multiple inhalers for a couple of years, she was looking for a more natural solution. Dr. Althoff knew she did not want to continue to give up her passions and did not want to live on medications that had many side effects.

In addition, she was involved in a car accident while in college that resulted in damage to her neck, discs, and nerves. This eventually lead to intolerable nerve pain down her right arm into the fingertips. At one point, the surgeon said that she would have to have surgery. After trials and tribulations with different types of care, she experienced relief from a combination of chiropractic care, massage therapy, and physical therapy. After that, she made it her MISSION to help others resolve similar nerve problems without surgery or drugs.

This all lead to her becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic and pursuing a career to change peoples lives with natural healthcare. While in grad school, she found natural solutions to both her asthma concerns and her nerve pain. She feels like the care she received not only changed her life, but SAVED her life.

Dr. Althoff is an extremely qualified Doctor of Chiropractic. She did her undergraduate work in North Dakota and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. Her Chiropractic education was completed at Northwestern Health Science University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Althoff has completed extensive post-graduate studies in pediatrics and prenatal care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is honored to have a Fellowship in the ICPA. Later, Dr. Althoff took multiple courses on Neuropathy. Dr. Althoff has also taken courses in the Activator Methods and has earned her Advanced Proficiency status. She has also had post graduate studies in Acupuncture and Nutritional Response Therapy. She has been a member and involved in several chiropractic associations including AMC, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, the Colorado Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association, and the Pediatric Council of the ACA.

Dr. J Saboy

Dr.JillAlthoff
Dr. Jennifer Saboy is a true Colorado native, born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. She lived and worked in Florida for 5 years after graduating from college but could not stay away from the mountains and outdoor lifestyle Colorado offers for too long. With her supportive partner, Marcos, she moved back to her hometown in 2020. Together they enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, playing tennis, pickleball, and pick-up games of soccer in the park, biking and hiking throughout the Rocky Mountains with their puppy, Higgins.

Dr. J was fortunate enough to have been under chiropractic care from an early age. She grew up with a well-respected chiropractor as a neighbor who originally piqued her interest in the medical field. She entered college with the intention of pursuing a career in conventional medicine, but as she furthered her education in the field, she became increasingly disappointed in the sick-care model of healthcare currently practiced in America.

Additionally, Dr. J experienced her own health crisis which conventional doctors failed to accurately diagnose and treat for 2 years. This forced Dr. J to become her own health advocate – she identified the root cause of her illness and used alternative medicine techniques to treat her condition. All these experiences solidified Dr. J’s desire to pursue a career in alternative medicine.

After attending the University of Colorado where she acquired her Bachelors in Integrative Physiology and in Psychology, Dr. J would transfer to the prestigious National University of Health Sciences in Saint Petersburg, Florida where she acquired her Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine. She continued to diversify her education after obtaining her doctorate, becoming certified in Acupuncture, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR) and in Functional Taping for Musculoskeletal Injuries (FTMI). She is also in the process of completing her Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists.

From the moment you meet Dr. J, you will sense the immense passion she has for her patients. She is thrilled to be a part of the Althoff Wellness Clinic team and to continue to serve the Northern Colorado community through the wonders of natural medicine! Her goal is not only to eliminate pain and suffering, but to restore each individual patient to an optimal state of health.
