You're not alone

Does this sound familiar?

Your low back locks up when you bend, lift, or get out of the car.
Your neck is stiff and it hurts to turn your head.
You get headaches that seem to start in your neck.
A sharp pain between your shoulder blades or around your ribs catches your breath.
Your wrist, ankle, or knee has never felt right since an injury.
You just want a chiropractor in Cheyenne who will find out what is going on first.

What we treat

Conditions our chiropractors help with in Cheyenne

Low back pain

Aching, stiffness, or sharp pain that makes it hard to bend, sit, lift, or sleep.

Mid and upper back pain

Tightness and pain between the shoulder blades, often tied to posture and desk time.

Neck pain

Stiffness and limited turning that can spread into the shoulders and head.

Headaches

Headaches that start in or are linked to the neck and upper back.

Pain or tingling down the leg, and bulging or herniated discs. See our spine care

Rib pain

Sore, sharp, or catching pain around the rib cage that can come from the joints of the mid back.

We adjust extremity joints too, not just the spine.

Knees

Knee adjustments can be part of a larger plan. See our knee care

How we adjust

Adjustment options that fit you

There is more than one way to adjust, and the right one depends on you. We choose the method with you after your exam.

Drop table adjusting

A diversified technique on a table that lowers slightly during the adjustment, so less force is needed.

Activator

A small handheld instrument that delivers a quick, gentle tap. No twisting or popping.

Manual adjusting

Hands-on adjusting when it fits your case and your comfort.

Graston technique

Smooth-edged instruments used on tight, sore soft tissue, added when it makes sense for you.

Your first visit

The $47 Initial Evaluation comes first

Every new patient gets the same thorough starting point, whether you come for an adjustment, decompression, SoftWave, or all three. The exam is what lets us adjust you safely.

  • Posture evaluation
  • Functional movement assessment

  • A consultation to talk through what we found

After that, we choose your treatment together. If your case needs a deeper look, we add a more in-depth exam. What to expect at your first visit

Imaging

About X-rays and MRIs

We do not have X-ray in our Cheyenne clinic. If you already have X-rays, an MRI, or other imaging, please bring it with you, especially if you have sciatica or a disc problem. It helps us understand your case.

If we feel you need imaging, we will refer you out for it.

Insurance

Chiropractic and insurance

Yes, we accept insurance. Chiropractic care is covered more often than some of our other services, like spinal decompression and SoftWave.

What applies to you depends on your diagnosis and your plan. We go over it with you after your exam, before you start care.

One part of a bigger plan

Adjustments work well alongside our other care

Many patients combine adjustments with other services. That is one reason people choose a clinic that offers all of them under one roof.

Spinal decompression

For low back and neck discs and nerves.

Back, neck, and spine care

SoftWave therapy

FDA-cleared sound waves for sore tissue.

SoftWave therapy

Knee care

Knee on Trac, SoftWave, and more.

Frequently asked questions about chiropractic care in Cheyenne

Where can I find a chiropractor in Cheyenne, WY?

Althoff Wellness Clinic provides chiropractic care at 4024 Laramie St., Cheyenne, WY 82001, just off College Drive. Dr. Jennifer Saboy, DC, is our primary adjuster, and Dr. Jill Althoff, DC, also provides care. New patients start with a $47 Initial Evaluation. Call (307) 369-1786.

Do you crack backs?

Crack is illegal, so we adjust! In all seriousness, we offer several adjustment methods, including a drop table and the Activator instrument. Neither requires twisting or cracking, so they are good options if you are nervous about adjustments.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

Adjustments are not meant to hurt. Some people feel mild soreness afterward, like after a new workout. Tell us what feels comfortable, and we will change the method to fit you.

Is neck adjusting safe?

Your first visit includes range of motion and orthopedic tests so we know whether an adjustment is appropriate for you before we do one. If it is not, we will talk about other options. Gentler methods like the Activator are available for the neck.

Do I need X-rays before I come in?

No. We do not have X-ray in our Cheyenne clinic. If you already have X-rays or an MRI, please bring them, especially if you have sciatica or a disc problem. If we feel you need imaging, we will refer you out for it.

What is included in the $47 Initial Evaluation?

A posture evaluation, a functional movement assessment, range of motion and orthopedic tests, and a consultation. After that, we choose your treatment together. If your case needs it, we add a more in-depth exam.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what is causing your pain and how you respond. We build your plan around what you need and go over it with you after your exam.

Do you adjust wrists, ankles, and knees?

Yes. In addition to the spine and ribs, we adjust extremity joints such as the wrists, ankles, and knees when it fits your case.

Does insurance cover chiropractic care?

Yes, we accept insurance. Chiropractic is covered more often than some of our other services. What applies depends on your diagnosis and your plan, and we confirm it with you after your exam, before you start care.
